China Airlines Taipei-Nanchang twice weekly service from Nov 1

China Airlines, leading Taiwanese carrier, has said that it will be introducing twice weekly flights to Nanchang from Taipei from November 1, 2011.

The airline, which aims to boost capacity on the new Taipei-Nanchang route, is considering deploying widebodied Airbus A330-300 to effectively serve its customers.

China Easter Airlines is currently operating twice weekly flights to Nanchang from Taipei utilizing a smaller A320 aircraft.

According to media reports, an estimated 30,000 passengers traveled between Taipei and Nanchang in 2010.

Presently, China Airlines accounts for 17% of total traffic in the region with nearly 5,000 passengers taking its Taipei-Hong Kong flight and onward connection to Nanchang through China Eastern Airlines flights.
