China Airlines to introduce Skycounch in September this year

Skycouch has so far been adopted by Air New Zealand. However, Skycouch will soon see yet another customer as well. China Airlines has announced that it will be introducing the SkyCounch in September this year. The airline said that its new Boeing 777-300ER aircrafts will be configured with Skycouch, and the first aircraft is due to arrive soon. According to the airline, the Skycouch will be beneficial for passengers traveling on China Airlines plane tickets who want to travel in comfort without spending more on their tickets.

Air New Zealand was the first airline to introduce the Skycouch in 2011. The Skycouch is in fact a row of three seats with adjustable leg and armrests. This provides the passengers traveling in Economy Class opportunity to lie down horizontally on board the aircraft. A flat area of 61.2 inch long is created after the armrests are folded, and the leg-rests also meet with the seats in front when they are lifted.

China Airlines said that it would be using the similar aircraft that is being currently used by Air New Zealand configured with Skycouch. The airline also said that the Skycouch is also expected to be in the same layout. The seats are configured in a 3-4-3 layout with the two outer sets being convertible into Skycouches.
