Copa Airlines will be increasing its frequencies to Panama City from Chicago this year. The airline recently announced it will be launching additional nonstop flights between Panama City’s Tocumen International Airport and Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. The additional service will be operated daily effective from June 1, 2017.
Copa Airlines is presently operating daily nonstop flights on Chicago-Panama City route utilizing its Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The flights from Chicago depart at 8:45 am. The additional service being launched between the two destinations starting June 1 will make its departure from Chicago at 2:25 pm.
Earlier, Copa Airlines had in early November last year launched additional flights between San Francisco and Panama City. The second daily nonstop service between the two destinations was launched to tackle the growing travel demand. The airline had initially launched its first daily nonstop flight on San Francisco-Panama City route in September 2015.
A spokesperson of Copa Airlines said that the company considers the launch of additional nonstop flights to San Francisco and Chicago as an important development. The primary objective had been to strengthen business and trade ties between Panama and United States. Moreover, the launch of additional nonstop flights also demonstrated that the people from the two countries wanted to travel more and quite frequently.
The launch of additional flights from San Francisco also offered the U.S. travelers great opportunity to conveniently connect to various destinations such as Costa Rica, San Jose, Colombia, Bogota, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Lima, and several other key cities in Latin America.
Copa Airlines is currently offering flight services to above 70 destinations in 31 countries spanning in South America, Central America, North America and the Caribbean. The airline has to its credit several awards such as “Best Airline Staff Service in Central America/Caribbean”, “Best Regional Airline in Central America/Caribbean”, and “Best Airline in Central America/Caribbean” presented during Skytrax 2016 awards presentation ceremony.
