Copa Airlines adds more flights to Las Vegas

Copa Airlines, Panama’s flagship carrier announced the expansion of its presence in Las Vegas by increasing the frequency of flights to the city. The airline currently operates once daily flight on Las Vegas-Panama City route. As per the latest addition the carrier will add more flights to the destinations on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays and raise the number to 11 per week.

The airline first started this service in June 2012. The decision to raise the number is influenced by heavy passenger traffic to Las Vegas, the gambling capital of the world. Beginning December 13, 2013, Copa will have 11 flights serving the city through the week.

It will use Boeing 737-800 aircraft with a seating capacity for 144 passengers. This is good news for the passengers who have the option of booking plane tickets to fly between one of the two cities eleven times a week.

Cathy Tull, Senior Vice President for Marketing at Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority expressed pleasure at Copa’s expansion. Lauding the airline’s increased frequency she added that it reiterates the airlines confidence into Las Vegas as a popular tourist destination for Latin American travelers.

As per the itinerary, the new flights will depart McCarran International Airport, Las Vegas on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 10:33 pm and touchdown Panama City at 8.00 am (all local times) the next day. The return flights will leave Panama City at 6.40 pm and arrive in Las Vegas at 10.45 pm Approx.
