Copa Airlines launches Mobile Check-In for Passengers

Leading Latin American carrier Copa Airlines recently launched mobile check-in for its passengers. The airline also introduced boarding pass delivery solution from NCR Corporation, which is a leading provider of self-service travel solutions.

hopes to significantly improve the passenger experience.

The launch of the mobile-optimized site will enable the passengers of the airline to check flight status and timetables, and also check-in for their flight.

The airline said that the passengers will be delivered an electronic boarding pass after they log in and complete mobile check-in formalities. After the passengers receive the electronic boarding pass on their mobile device, they can directly proceed to security bypassing the check-in counter.

Currently, the NCR Corporation is providing self-service kiosks for the Copa Airlines. The NCR Corporation has said that it will also be integrating web check-in capability so that the passengers choosing to check-in on their PC can also get a mobile boarding pass delivered to their handsets.

Ever since the NCR Corporation has deployed NCR mobi-web and NCR mobi-pass solutions in April 2011, the customer usage has significantly increased. Even, the Copa Airlines is also expecting the customer usage to further grow.
