Copa Airlines to launch flights to three new destinations in 2014

Copa Airlines is planning to expand its network this year. The airline recently made public its growth plans for the first half of 2014. Panama’s national carrier Copa Airlines said that it will introduce new direct flights services to Montreal, Fort Lauderdale and Georgetown from Panama. With the launch of the three new destinations, the airline will now be operating flights to a total of 69 destinations in 30 countries in Central, North and South America as well as the Caribbean. Apart from introducing the new routes, Copa Airlines has also indicated that it will be adding more aircrafts to its fleet. The airline plans to increase its capacity by 10 percent this year.

Providing details about its new services, Copa Airlines said that the customers can look forward to purchase plane tickets for flights to Montreal to be launched starting June 3, 2014. This will be Copa Airlines’ second destination in Canada. The airline will be operating four flights every week to Montreal.

Copa Airlines further said that it will launch its flights services between Fort Lauderdale and the Hub of the Americas starting from July 11, 2014. The airline will operate four weekly flights on these routes. According to the airline, Fort Lauderdale will be its fourth destination in the state of Florida and the 10th destination in the United States. Copa Airlines will also start operating twice-weekly flights to Georgetown starting from July 11, 2014. The new Panama City-Georgetown route will be Copa Airlines’ first to the South American nation of Republic of Guyana.
