Copa set to launch service to Georgetown and Montreal

Copa Airlines seems to be in an expansion mode. The Panama City based airline announced its decision to launch flights to Georgetown and Montreal. This announcement comes close on the heels of its decision to commence service to Fort Lauderdale.

It will soon start offering plane tickets to the capital city of Guyana and one of the prominent cities in Canada. It expects to launch these two new routes in the first half of this year. Nonstop services from Panama City to Georgetown and Montreal will boost its connections to the Caribbean and Canada.

The service to the Canadian city will commence on June 3, 2014. It will offer four weekly flights to its Canadian gateway. The city is its second overall destination in the country. Montreal is one of the primary cities in Canada and is a prominent name as far as culture and tourism is concerned.

On the other hand, service to Georgetown will begin on July 11, 2014. The airline will launch this route with two-flights per week to the capital city. This is the airline’s first connection to the popular South American destination from its hub in Tocumen International Airport.

Besides, these new routes, the airline is all set to add eight new Boeing 737-800 planes to its existing fleet this year. These technically advanced aircrafts will enhance its prospects of offering better onboard services. The addition of these planes will bring the total number of its fleet to 98.
