Delta Air Lines, one of the largest airlines operating in the United States, announced that it does not intend to allow its passengers to use cell phone services during their journey. The airline seems too adamant about its decision even if the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) lifted ban and paved way for the new service to be introduced onboard.

The Atlanta, Georgia based airline that offers plane tickets to its customers and operates service to over 200 destinations worldwide may have disappointed many passengers. However, the airline maintains that its passengers and crew agree to the disruptions that such a move may cause during the course of the journey. The airline operates 35 flights out of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and is the second most busiest airline there. Many airlines want to introduce the in-flight call facility on their planes that due to which U.S. Federal Communications Commission proposed to seek public opinion on the matter last week.

The airline is committed not-to-allow any cell phone calls or internet-assisted call on its flights including Delta Connections. The airline claims to have received a wide negative feedback on the issue, which prompts it to take a strong stand on the issue. As per the survey conducted by the airline in 2012, most passengers consider the service as a distraction that would in no way enhance their experience. The airline has always been supportive of the use of gadgets onboard however, this time around it is unwilling to succumb.
