Delta Air Lines boosting flights to Asia from Seattle

Delta Air Lines recently announced it has entered into partnership with Alaska Airlines and will be expanding its flights services to Asia beginning next year.

The airline in a statement said that the travelers from Seattle and surrounding areas can now look forward to get air tickets at affordable rates as flights to Shanghai are scheduled to start from June.

Delta Air Lines said that it is adding flights between Seattle and Shanghai, which will begin operations from June 17, 2013.

The Atlanta-based carrier also indicated that it is planning to begin flights between Seattle and Tokyo’s Haneda Airport, and expects it to launch in March.  

The airline stated that it is expected to operate more than 40 daily flights by next summer to 15 destinations from Seattle.

Delta Air Lines will be operating the flights in partnership with Alaska Airlines, which is based at Seattle. The partnership with Alaska Airlines will enable Delta Air Lines to connect many other U.S. cities from Seattle.
