Delta Air Lines deal with Yeager Airport to bring full-size jets

Delta Air Lines recently announced it has signed a deal with Yeager Airport for bringing daily full-size flights services back to the airport. The deal will enable the airline to begin flight operations out of the airport with the help of big aircrafts for the first time since 2001.

The airline in a statement said that its customers would now get the opportunity to purchase air tickets at cheap rates for flights starting between Charleston and Atlanta effective from March 2, 2013.

The airline stated that it will deploy a DC-9 aircraft having a capacity to carry 125 passengers to operate flights between Yeager Airport and Atlanta. According to Delta Air Lines, the flights will depart Yeager Airport at 7 am every day. The return flight from Atlanta will arrive at 8.33 pm.

US Airways had been operating daily flights between Yeager and Atlanta but stopped the operations on this route following the September 2001 attacks. Delta Air Lines said that it will be for the first time offering 12 first class seats on its DC-9 aircraft.
