Delta Air Lines launching Athens-New York flights in May

Delta Air Lines recently announced it will be launching its flights services between Athens and New York in May next year. The airline in a statement said that the seasonal nonstop flights to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport from Athens International Airport will be launched from May 17, 2013.

According to the airline, the flights between the two cities were earlier scheduled to be launched from October 27 this year but the winter schedule on this route was suspended.

The airline stated that the customers will now be able to book air tickets for the flights to be operated on Athens-New York route daily throughout the peak summer season starting from May 2013.

Delta Air Lines will be operating the flights on this route in association with its joint venture partners Air France, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Alitalia. The flight will be operated with the help of an Airbus A330-300 aircraft configured with 298 seats.
