Delta Air Lines launching nonstop Buffalo-LaGuardia flights

Delta Air Lines recently announced that it will launch its nonstop flights between Buffalo and New York LaGuardia from March 25, 2012.

The passengers will now be able to buy air tickets on the airline’s new all-jet service between Buffalo Niagara International Airport and New York LaGuardia International Airport. The airline will be operating 12 daily flights between these two cities.

Delta Air Lines in a statement said that the new route is part of its scheduled expansion through its new LaGuardia hub. The airline disclosed that it is investing $100 million to expand the main terminal at New York LaGuardia International Airport. It also plans to operate more than 100 new flights serving 28 new destinations at LaGuardia.

The starting of new nonstop flights from Buffalo Niagara International Airport will give LaGuardia airport 42 percent more available seats to New York City.

The new flights will provide more Western New Yorkers an opportunity to visit the Big Apple every day. Besides, they will also take the advantage of flying in larger jets with first-class cabins equipped with Wi-Fi, which is a first for a regional route at the airport.
