Delta Air Lines new premium economy amenities in Boeing 747s

Delta Air Lines passengers taking premium economy flights on Boeing 747-400 aircrafts this year will be a witness to a number of improvements. Besides, the airline is also making significant changes in its business class cabins.

The upgrades in the business class cabins are expected to be complete in October 2012.

Delta Air Lines in a statement said that each of its Boeing 747-400 aircraft in the fleet will boast 48 BusinessElite flat-bed seats. The business class cabins will be equipped with several amenities, including direct aisle access, power outlets, USB ports and a personal LED reading lamp.

Besides, business class passengers will also be offered a widescreen video monitor and an entertainment system comprising more than 300 films, 88 hours of TV programs and over 5,000 digital music tracks.

Delta Air Lines will be installing its Boeing 747-400 aircrafts with the Economy Comfort product in premium economy cabins, providing additional four inches of legroom space, 50 percent more recline space, priority boarding and complimentary wines throughout the flight. The airline is modeling its premium economy cabins on the similar lines as available with its joint-venture partners Air France-KLM and Alitalia.
