Delta Air Lines relocating key services to London Heathrow’s T3

Delta Air Lines has now joined Virgin Atlantic Airways, its transatlantic partner, in conducting flight operations out of London Heathrow’s Terminal 3. The airline relocated its major services to T3 effective from April 2, 2014.

Flights to Seattle, Boston and New York JFK operated by Delta Air Lines are making their arrivals and departures from T3. By relocating its operations, the airline said it wants to demonstrate its commitment to customers with enhanced seamless and convenient experience.

Ed Bastian, President of Delta Air Lines, said that the airline has signed agreement with Virgin Atlantic Airways to bring ease to its customers in making even last minute changes while traveling between London Heathrow Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Bastian said that the airline’s partnership with Virgin Atlantic Airways is valuable and both the airlines are committed to accord top priority to customers, while making flights on transatlantic routes more competitive.

Bastian further said that Delta Air Lines’ key business flights co-location with Virgin Atlantic Airways at London Heathrow Airport is a significant move in fulfilling the commitments to the customers. He said that in summer this year both the airlines will be providing more flights services and launching new routes.

Delta Air Lines and Virgin Atlantic Airways will be operating 32 daily nonstop flights between the United Kingdom and North America during the 2014 summer schedule. Out of a total of 32 flights, both the airlines will be operating 25 flights between London Heathrow and major U.S. cities like Washington, Atlanta, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
