Delta Air Lines renovating and expanding its facilities at New York LaGuardia Airport

Delta Air Lines has embarked on an ambitious $160 million renovation and expansion of its facilities at New York LaGuardia Airport. This is the largest expansion project at LaGuardia in more than 40 years.

Delta Air Lines is creating a new domestic hub at New York LaGuardia Airport, and plans to put air tickets on sale for flights to 26 new routes by July 11, 2012.

The project includes a 630-foot connector bridge linking Terminals C and D, a new Delta Sky Club in Terminal C and expanded security lanes in both terminals.

The new Delta Sky Club in Terminal C that is expected to open this summer.

Delta Air Lines in a statement said that it is also carrying out a $1.2 billion enhancement and expansion of its facilities at New York John F. Kennedy Airport, its international hub.

The airline will be increasing service at New LaGuardia Airport with 100 new flights in spring and summer 2012. Delta Air Lines will be operating more than 260 daily flights between LaGuardia and more than 60 cities when its full schedule is implemented, exceeding any other carrier.
