Delta Air Lines to equip its international fleet with Wi-Fi service

Passengers booking air tickets and taking Delta Air Lines flights to international destinations will be able to enjoy the facilities of Wi-Fi Internet service from next year.

Delta Air Lines recently announced it is planning to equip all its aircrafts in its international fleet with Wi-Fi Internet service starting early 2013. The airline currently has above 150 aircrafts, including Boeing 747, 757, 767, 777 and Airbus A330. All these aircrafts are to be equipped with Wi-Fi service.

Delta Air Lines presently has the largest aircraft fleet in the world that has Wi-Fi Internet service installed on them. The airline has equipped all its 550 aircrafts operating on domestic routes as well as 200 regional jets of its subsidiary Delta Connection with Wi-Fi Internet service.
 
The airline in a statement said that the new Wi-Fi Internet service is likely to be completely installed by 2015.

The airline is yet to disclose the pricing for Wi-Fi Internet availability on its international fleet. However, the rates for Wi-Fi Internet service on its domestic flights vary according to flight duration and based on market price.
