Delta Air Lines to resume flights between Chattanooga and Atlanta

Delta Air Lines recently announced it will be resuming its flights services between Chattanooga and Atlanta. The customers can look forward to book air tickets now as the flights begins operations in September this year. The flights are being resumed after a gap of 17 years.

Though the mainline service between Chattanooga and Atlanta is being resumed this September, the airline is yet to reveal whether the 125-seat flight will continue after the end of the year.

Delta Air Lines operated its last regular mainline flight to Chattanooga in 1995, after offering 48 years of service to the city.

The airline said in a statement that the new once-a-day round-trip flight starting from September 5, 2012, will be operated with the help of a DC-9 aircraft configured with two classes – First Class and Coach. Currently, the airline operates 11 daily flights to Atlanta.

Chattanooga to Atlanta

Departure: 6.45 am – Arrival: 7.35 am

Atlanta to Chattanooga

Departure: 7.15 pm – Arrival: 8.01 pm
