Delta Airlines Launches Direct Flights to Barbados

Delta Airlines recently announced the launch of its winter flights to the Caribbean Island. Now passengers from the eastern and central areas of the U.S. will be able to fly nonstop to Barbados.

Giving further details, the airline said beginning December 4, 2014 passengers from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, Atlanta and John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York will be able fly to Grantley Adams International Airport in Bridgetown and enjoy the sun-drenched Caribbean islands.

Flights on both the routes will operate every Tuesdays and Saturdays. Delta will operate flights on this route simultaneously, i.e. one flight will start from New York, reach Barbados and then fly to Atlanta. And the second one will start from Atlanta, fly to Barbados and finally fly to New York.

JFK-BGI flights will leave JFK at 8.00 am and arrive in BGI at 1.47 pm; return flight will leave BGI at 4.55 pm and arrive in JFK at 8.58 pm. ATL-BGI flights will leave ATL at 9.55 am and arrive in BGI at 3.29pm; return flight will leave BGI at 2.45pm and arrive in ATL at 6.57 pm.

Bowing 737 aircrafts will be functional on both these routes. A total of 160 seats under three-seat classification will be up for sale. These aircrafts will consist of 16 seats in business class, 18 seats in economy comfort and 126 seats in economy class. As far as amenities for travelers are concerned, these aircrafts are fitted with personal television monitors offering free viewing of 18 channels, comfy seats made of leather and an additional 4 inches of leg space in Economy Comfort section.
