Delta Strengthens its Presence in Europe, Adds Routes

Strong network is the key to success for any airlines. Many non-European carriers are now flying to the European destinations. Following the footsteps of Etihad Airways now Delta Air Lines will also offer flights to Europe. In a recent announcement the airline said that it will now fly from New York and Atlanta to Zurich, Rome, Paris and Amsterdam.

Delta will now offer year-round flights seven days a week between Zurich International Airport and New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport. From June 16 Delta will offer once daily flights operated by a Boeing 767-300ER. It will offer lie-flat seats with direct aisle access in its BusinessElite cabin class on this route. JFK-Zurich route will be complemented by the ongoing summer schedule of Atlanta–Zurich service. Meanwhile Delta will be increasing its connectivity to Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport from JFK and will fly daily using Airbus A330-300 on the route until October this year. In November, December and March flights will be available five times a week using a Boeing 767-300ER in conjugation with the Italian carrier, Alitalia.

For its winter Schedule Delta along with its collaboration partners Alitalia and Air France-KLM plan to expand its service from its hub at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to Amsterdam Schiphol International Airport and Paris Charles De Gaulle International Airport. Both Amsterdam and Paris will get additional daily direct service from Atlanta, totaling to four flights per day. All the flights have been scheduled conveniently, to offer travelers more connecting time when flying further to Middle East, Africa or within Europe.

Schedule of the new routes is as follows:
