Delta to add service to Punta Cana and Nassau from Pittsburg

Delta Air Lines recently  announced that it has plans to add two new international routes from Pittsburg International Airport. The carrier is set to connect Pittsburg with Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and Nassau in Bahamas beginning December 21, 2013.

The nonstop flights to these locations will give an opportunity to travelers to book plane tickets for these tropical destinations. Punta Cana and Nassau are known to offer solace to visitors during winters in North America. Both these places are thronged by tourists looking for a quick winter escapade to warmer locales.

Delta also has plans to expand to other cities from Pittsburg. Along with Aeromexico, the airline has jointly applied to operate nonstop flights to Cancun in Mexico. The deal is pending with the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Mexican government.

At present Delta operates 33 daily flights to seven cities across the United States from Pittsburgh. It also operates a nonstop transatlantic flight to Paris from this airport.
