Delta to fly business class on Seattle-London route

Delta Air Lines, one of the major commercial carriers of the United States announced the launch of new service between Seattle and London. Beginning March 29, 2014, the airline will offer daily nonstop flights between Tacoma International Airport, Seattle and London Heathrow Airport.

Boeing 767-300ER will serve on the Seattle-London route. The aircraft has a capacity of 210-seats comprising 35 full flat beds in Business Elite, 32 seats in Economy Comfort and 143 Economy class segments.

Passengers who wish to experience luxury on the new route can purchase business class tickets from July 27, 2013 onwards.

Glen Hauenstein, Delta’s Executive Vice President, Marketing, Network Planning and Revenue Management said that the airline’s international expansion in Seattle is possible due to their partnerships with Alaska Airlines, Virgin Atlantic and Air France-KLM. He added that together the airlines can serve the customers in the Pacific Northwest with an unparalleled global network and a supreme customer experience both on the ground and in the air.

The new flights are scheduled to depart Seattle at 6.40 pm and touchdown London at 12.05 pm local time the next day. The aircraft will leave London at 12.20 pm and arrive in Seattle at 2.40 pm local time the same day.
