Delta to offer WineMaker Series in transcontinental BusinessElite

Delta Air Lines is on course to further enhancing its food and wine offerings on this year, particularly on its transcontinental flights. The customers booking business class tickets for travel in BusinessElite cabins on transcontinental routes can now look forward to new selections on WineMaker Series for 2014. The new selections for 2014 include a 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon and a 2012 Sauvignon Blanc. The two selections have been procured from Arrowood and Matanzas Creek Winery, respectively, from Sonoma County. The airline also said that its customers in BusinessElite would continue to be served delicious multi-course meals created by Napa Valley-based Chef Michael Chiarello.

Apart from the business class travelers, Delta Air Lines is also going to cater to its economy class customers with a new line of healthy menu items. The new meal range has been procured from Luvo and would be offered on transcontinental flights to Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles. The flights to these destinations are being operated from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. According to the airline, the Luvo meals are created from natural ingredients with no added trans-fats. The meals would be available for purchase in Economy Class, while it will be offered free to those traveling in Economy Comfort.

Earlier, Delta Air Lines had successfully launched Luvo snacks as part of its transcontinental menu offerings and currently being offered 15-times daily on Delta Shuttle flights operating between San Francisco International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport.
