Demand for no-frills business class flights growing, says Survey

The demand for no-frills business class flights is significantly growing. A recent survey of travel industry experts has been published which outlined the fact that considering the ever increasing demand European no-frills airlines such as Easyjet and Ryanair should also think about adding business class cabins. The survey pointed out that in recent years Middle Eastern low-cost carriers like Jazeera Airways and Flydubai have added business class products to their aircrafts. The survey also said that even senior industry managers agree on this concept and believe that this would work in other regions as well.

The World Travel Market, an analyst firm, carried out the survey. According to the study, 87 percent of respondents said that no-frills business could be successful in other regions as well, particularly in Europe (42 percent), Asia (40 percent), North America (35 percent), and UK and Ireland (29 percent). The study suggested that no-frills business class could include more legroom, bigger seats and a meal.

The study further said that no-frills business class cabins could prove to me quite popular with UK holidaymakers. The study said that 6 out of 10 respondents said that they would be willing to pay extra to upgrade. However, 39 percent respondents said that this would essentially depend on the cost of the service provided by the low-cost carriers offering no-frills business class cabins.
