Earn double miles, faster elite status on Alaska Airlines

Alaska Airlines offers cheap flights when traveling to select West Coast routes. Alaska Airlines has announced that its frequent fliers will now be able to rack up double miles and earn elite status twice as fast when flying on six West Coast routes through the end of May 2014.

Alaska Airlines launched its promotional offer starting from October 22, 2013 and it will continue through May 31, 2014. The offer is applicable on six West Coast routes from the airline’s Seattle hub. These routes include Santa Rosa, San Jose, San Francisco, Oakland, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
 
According to this offer, the frequent fliers traveling on these routes would be able to earn both double miles and double “qualifying” miles, or miles that count toward elite status. The offer also allows the customers to qualify for the lowest level of “MVP” status on Alaska Airlines by flying 20,000 miles or 25,000 miles when flying on a combination of flights on Alaska Airlines and its eligible partners.

Alaska Airlines has announced this promotional offer after its partner Delta Air Lines recently ramped up both its domestic and international offerings from Seattle. Delta Air Lines’ expansion includes new as well as additional flights to San Francisco, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Alaska Airlines’ double-miles promotion offer also includes these three markets.
