Emirate to launch daily flight service to Buenos Aires via Rio de Janeiro

Emirates Air, the national airline of Unites Arab Emirates recently announced the launch of daily flight service from Dubai to Buenos Aires via Rio de Janeiro. Beginning its flight operations from 6th January 2012, the airline will operate its B777-30ER aircraft over the new route.

The new aircraft will be fitted with eight First Class private suites, 42 lie-flat Business class seats and 304 coach class seats.

"Our research has shown that there is a high demand for these cities from across our network. Our first service to Argentina is a much-anticipated addition to our network which will open important new markets for us," said, HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline & Group.

The airline started its first operations to Brazilian capital, Sao Paulo in 2007 and is quite optimistic for a boost in its revenue through the two major events that Brazil will host in the coming years – 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 World Olympics.

The daily flight will depart from Dubai at 07.05am and will arrive in Rio de Janeiro at 03.35pm. After a short stopover for two hours the flight will then depart from Rio de Janeiro at 05.20pm and will arrive at Buenos Aires at 07.30pm.

The return leg will depart from Buenos Aires at 09.30pm and will arrive in Rio de Janeiro at 01.20am the next day. After taking a halt for an hour and a half the flight will depart from Rio at 02.25am and will arrive in Dubai at 10.35pm.
