Emirates A380 aircraft take its first flight to Shanghai

Emirates Airlines’ Airbus A380 took off its first flight from Dubai airport and arrived on Wednesday afternoon in Shanghai. With this new launch, shanghai became the third destination of the airline, which will be served with A380 aircraft. The launch also marked the next phase of Emirates’ eight-year-old passengers’ service to Shanghai.

The new flight service will operate three days a week and will depart on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday at 03.10 am and will arrive in Shanghai at 03.30pm. The round trip flight will depart from Shanghai at 11.30pm and will arrive in Dubai at 04.30am the following day.

At present Emirates operates double-daily service each to Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong and daily service to Guangzhou.

According to the statement released by the airline, there has been an immense growth of business opportunities among the two countries, which has further resulted into the increase in air travel. There was approximately 11 Chinese register business in Dubai but in 2011 the figure has risen to around 2500. The trade between the two nations is also expected to grow to USD 10 billion by 2015 from USD 30 billion which was in 2010.
