Emirates' A380 all set to fly to Kuwait

Emirates is launching A380 service to Kuwait, to mark the completion of its 25 years of service to Kuwait. It first began operations on Dubai-Kuwait route in July 1989. The new service will commence from July 16, 2014.

Emirates at present serves Kuwait five a times a day using the service of both Boeing and Airbus aircrafts. EK 857 and EK858 will be upgraded to a double-decker before this flagship aircraft touches base at Kuwait. With this upgraded double-decker service, Kuwait will become the second destination after the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the entire Middle East, to be served by an A380.

Dubai-Kuwait route will offer 489 seats under three classifications. 14 First Class Private Suites, 76 lie-flat seats in Business Class category and 399 seats in Economy Class category. A380 aircraft will have two onboard shower spas for first class passengers and an onboard lounge for first and business class passengers. Passengers across all classes will be able to enjoy gourmet cuisine prepared by master chefs, award winning ice entertainment system and free wifi.

Heikh Majid Al-Mualla, Emirates' Divisional SVP Commercial Operations Centre said that all of us at Emirates are thankful to the Kuwait Aviation Authority and Kuwait International Airport for giving us their unending support for the last 25 years. Without which it would not have been possible for us to start off with this A380 service. We have 47 A380's deployed across the length and breadth of the world. Even then travelers get fascinated and excited to see and experience this magnificent aircraft.
