Emirates A380 business class now available on IAH, SFO and MXP

The Dubai-based carrier, Emirates Airline deployed the Airbus A380 super jumbo jets on three routes in three days starting December 1, 2014. Emirates’ double-decker route of 33 destinations now includes George Bush Intercontinental Houston Airport (IAH), San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP).

The first flight bound for San Francisco departed at 8:50am local time from Dubai and will land in California at 12:50 pm (local time). The flight to Milan will leave Dubai at 3:40 pm and will arrive in Milan at 7:35 pm (local time) starting December 2, 2014. The airline will also deploy A380 on its Dubai-Houston route. This quick Airbus rollout will benefit the business class travelers as they can now fly daily in one of the best business class cubicles with fully flat seats and enjoy flying with fellow corporate at the onboard lounge on the biggest passenger jet in the industry.

Emirates senior vice president for Commercial Operations West, Hubert Frach commented that launching three flights in three days is an insurmountable task and the airline relishes having completed the challenge.

The airline will replace Boeing-777 300ERs with Airbus A380s on Houston and San Francisco daily flights. The Emirates’ super jumbo will then serve five destinations in the United States including Dallas, Los Angeles and New York. The flights bound for Houston will depart from Dubai at 9.30 am and arrive in Texas at 4.05 pm local time starting December 3, 2014.

The super jumbo jet for Emirates has 55 aircrafts which is one-third of the entire fleet across the world. The airline is yet to receive its order for 85 Airbus A380 aircrafts.
