Emirates adds A380s to its fleet, launched two new routes

Emirates, the giant commercial airline of the Middle East announced its decision to add more Airbus A380 to its fleet in the near future. It also said that it received the delivery of two of these double-decker offerings from the French manufacturer recently. Interestingly, the airline deployed these planes soon after their arrival.

Many passengers book airline tickets with the Dubai-based airline to fly over 150 cities around the world. At present, its fleet includes these state-of-the-art jets from Airbus. It now is a proud owner of 44 superjumbo jets. These planes are considered the most fuel-efficient aircrafts in the industry and many airlines are placing bulk orders with the manufacturer. Emirates is expanding its network in the United States and other parts of the globe steadily. As one of the fastest growing airlines in the world, it had announced that it placed orders for 50 of these aircrafts in a bid to expand its footprints.

The airline commenced A380 service between its Dubai hub and the Indian Ocean holiday island of Mauritius a few days ago. This service has paved way for at least 153 more passengers to fly to the beautiful isle with the airline. The airline will operate daily service on this route. Ahead of the Mauritius launch, it commenced A380 service to Los Angeles. It also intends to commence A380 flights from Dubai to Zurich and Barcelona next year. It has now become the largest operator of A380 jets in the world.
