Emirates Airline has indicated it will be launching its new flights between Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Dubai International Airport. The nonstop flight to the airline’s 9th destination in the United States will become operational from August 5, 2014.

Media reports said that the airline will be using a Boeing 777-200LR aircraft to conduct one round-trip flight on the route per day. The widebody Boeing aircraft is configured with a total of 266 seats – 8 First Class suites, 216 seats in Economy Class and 42 Business Class seats. The airline has introduced cheap airfares for travel in Economy Class between the two destinations starting from $1,388*. Fares under this offer must be booked latest by June 17, 2014.

The flight will depart from Dubai at 9.45 am and arrive at Chicago O’Hare at 3.25 pm. The return flight will depart from Chicago O’Hare at 8.35 pm and will reach Dubai at 7.10 pm next day.

Emirates Airlines’ two major rivals in the Middle East – Etihad Airways and Qatar Airways – are also making determined bids to boost their network in the United States. This will be Etihad’s 5th destination in the U.S. The airline is also launching flights to Los Angeles, its 4th U.S. gateway, in June this year.

State of Qatar’s national carrier Qatar Airways, which operates out of its main hub at Doha International Airport, will also be strengthening its U.S. network. The airline started flights to Philadelphia, its 5th destination in the country, effective from April 2, 2014. Earlier, the airline also launched its new flights to Chicago O’Hare International Airport as well this year. The airline is also launching flights to Miami, its 6th U.S. gateway, starting from June 10 this year.
