Emirates Airline now world’s No. 1 for business class capacity

Leading Middle East carrier Emirates Airline has now become the top international airline in the world for its first class and business class capacity. A recent study by a flights data firm said that in terms of its premium capacity measured in international available seat kilometers (ASKMs), the airline emerged No. 1 recording 876 million ASKMs per week.
 
The study said that the first class and business class cabins of the airline have gained popularity because of the long haul nature of the airline’s fleet deployment.

Emirates Airline had in July 2014 acquired its 50th Airbus A380 aircraft configured with 90 seats in first class and business class cabins. With this the airline’s average weekly capacity was further added to over 191,000 premium seats.

Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, said that while signing up for the Airbus A380s aircraft the airline had a clear vision where to deploy the aircrafts. It was also a great opportunity for the airline to take the flying experience of its customers to an entirely new level.

Clark said that Emirates Airline is committed to provide the best services and privileges to its premium customers. The airline took a bold move to install the Onboard Lounge after making slight adjustments in Business Class. The airline also became the first in the world to bring shower facilities for premium fliers onto a commercial flight. Further, the airline also ensured that its in-flight entertainment system across all classes provided unparalleled quality and choice to the customers. According to Clark, the airline with a surfeit of choices for the customers has now become the most preferred to fly on the A380.

The Airbus A380 aircrafts of the airline have performed exceedingly well by carrying over 27.5 million passengers ever since 2008. The airline said that its premium and overall seat factors on Airbus A380 fleet have been continuously outperforming the network.
