Emirates Airline upgrades in-flight entertainment

Emirates Airline has announced it is upgrading in-flight entertainment experience for its customers on its Airbus A380 aircraft. The airline will initially be providing newly redesigned headsets for its economy class customers, who will be entertaining with the award-winning ice entertainment system on board their flights.

The Emirates Airline in a statement said that the economy class cabins on all its Airbus A380 aircrafts will be equipped with new headsets by the end of June 2015. The airline further indicated that it is also planning to roll out the new headsets on its Boeing 777 fleet across all classed later this year.

Media reports said that the airline’s new Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircrafts will be offering the ice entertainment system on larger personal TV screens with HD resolution. The customers traveling in first class will keep themselves entertained with the help of a 27-inch screen. Those booking business class tickets will be offered a 20-inch personal TV screen for entertainment, while the economy class customers will be offered a 12.1-inch screen for their entertainment. Apart from the new redesigned headsets, the premium customers traveling in first class and business class on all flights are also being offered active noise cancelling headsets as well.

The reports said that the headsets have been completely redesigned so that the customers will get improved sound quality. The headsets will also significantly reduce ambient cabin noise and provide overall comfort. The headset will be of a rectangular shape and will be more ergonomic. The premium leatherette ear cushions will be enhancing comfort, which is quite essential for long-haul flights.
