Emirates Airline wins prestigious World’s Best Airline 2016 award

Emirates Airline has recently won the prestigious “World’s Best Airline 2016” title. Apart from this, the airline was also presented with two other awards – “Best Airline in the Middle East” and “World’s Best Inflight Entertainment”. The airline thus scored a hat trick by winning these three awards, which were presented during a gala ceremony to commemorate Skytrax World Airline Awards 2016 presentation. It may be noted that the World’s Best Inflight Entertainment award was given to the airline for the 12th consecutive year, a record in itself.

Media reports said that the top accolade was won by Emirates Airline for the fourth time ever since Skytrax introduced the awards 15 years ago. The first ever Skytrax World’s Best Airline was presented to Emirates in 2001. Later, the airline again won the prestigious title in 2002 and also in 2013. The airline has so far been presented altogether 20 Skytrax World Airline awards ever since it was instituted in 2001.

Emirates Airline is renowned for offering best amenities in its business class. The airline has over the past one year rolled out a series of service upgrades and new products. Emirates recently launched new business class seats on its newly acquired Boeing 777-300ER aircrafts. Emirates Lounge network for first class and business class customers has also been expanded globally with the total now reaching to 39. The latest Emirates Lounge was opened at Cape Town airport. The airline also introduced new activity kits and toys for children, both on board the flights and also in the lounges. Apart from these, new amenity kits are also being provided to first class and business class customers booking Emirates Airline flights.

Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, expressed his happiness on receiving the coveted awards. He said, “The prestigious Skytrax awards are in fact a great honor and recognition for the airline. The customers have consistently remained the top priority, and the airline is doing everything at its command to keep them satisfied, happy and delivering the best experience both on the ground and in the air.”
