Emirates Airline has unveiled its new, upgraded business class seat at the recently concluded ITB Berlin show. The revamped business class product will be installed on the new Boeing 777-300ER aircrafts scheduled for delivery beginning November 2016 onwards.
A spokesperson of Emirates Airline while revealing the new business class product said that the seat pitch will be of 72 inches and can be converted into a 180 degrees fully flat bed via a touchscreen controller. The headrest is ergonomically designed. There will also be a personal mini bar as well 23 inch TV screens, said to be the largest in the aviation industry. The seats will also include a USB port, as well as HDMI port for streaming content from personal devices directly to the IFE screen.
The spokesperson further said that the area around each business class seat has also been redesigned. There will be privacy panels between seats. Among other amenities to be provided include a meal table, shoe stowage area, footrest and literature pocket. The seats will retain Emirates Airline’s signature color tones of light and dark grey, with accentuated burled walnut veneers around the personal IFE screen, privacy panel, mini bar and centre console, in keeping with Emirates’ distinctive interior color palette.
Emirates Airline’s current seat layout of 2-3-2 will be retained across its business class cabins in Boeing 777 aircrafts. Apart from this, the total number of 42 business class seats will also remain as usual on each aircraft.

The seat has been undoubtedly been given a modern and fresh look with all the existing features retained and few more added. The sleeping comfort and seating have been vastly improved.
