Emirates discloses more details on new B777 business class seats

Emirates Airlines is all set to debut its new business class seats on its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft after acquiring them and including in its fleet from November 2016 onwards. The airline’s new business class will be in 2-3-2 layout. The airline has unveiled some more interesting details about the newly-designed business class seats during the recently held Arabian Travel Market.

Media reports said that the shape and design of the new business class seat draws inspiration based on the interiors of a modern sports car. The sleek seats don sporting look with the light grey leather and diamond patterned stitching. If a close look at the seats is taken then it fully resembles that of a sports car seat.

Travel experts who observed the new seat design at the Arabian Travel Market said that this might have been done to distract the travelers from the 2-3-2 configuration and short pitch. According to the reports, the new business class seat is of 72 inches pitch and is converted into under six-feet-long bed. The experts further went on to say that the length of the new seat when converted to bed would prove to be somewhat uncomfortable for a tall person who might be traveling in the airline’s new business class cabin because according to the new design the seats seem to be relatively narrow.

The reports while providing further details about the prominent features of the new business class cabin said that the premium customers will be able to make use of a USB port for charging electronic devices and also an HDMI port for streaming content from personal device onto the IFE screen.

Among other major highlights of the new business class cabin include a mini-bar, and a 23-inch TV screen said to be one of the largest on an airline. The airline officials are hoping that the new business class seats on Boeing 777-300ER aircrafts will prove to be attractive for premium customers.
