Emirates doubles flight frequency to Cape Town

After the announcement of thrice daily flight service to Manchester, Emirates announced to double its flight service to Cape Town. With this, the airline will be operating twice daily flights from 27th March 2011.

The new flight service will depart at 03.50 am from Dubai and will arrive at 11.40 am in Cape Town. The round trip flight will depart at 01.40 from Cape Town and will arrive at 01.15 am in Dubai the following day.

The new service will be operated by A340-500 aircraft that will be configured into three classes and will add to the present B777-300ER aircraft that departs from Dubai at 08.50 am and Dubai at 06.10 pm.

Thus, the new flight addition will bring the total of 42 weekly flights that the airline operates in South African cities such as Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town.
