Emirates has recently included Edinburgh as a part of Scotland’s second destination and stands in the eighth position in the United Kingdom. The airline also serves some other places in the UK namely Glasgow, Birmingham, London Heathrow, London Standsted, New Castle, London Gatwick as well as Manchester.
In order to celebrate the inaugural flight service between Dubai and Edinburgh, Emirates organized a water cannon salute at the airport of Edinburgh. Hubert Frach, the Divisional Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations West at Emirates stated, ‘The beginning of the inaugural service ensures that the business flyers can now enjoy greater convenience and wider connectivity from the Edinburgh area to destinations across Dundee and Aberdeen. In addition, in order to serve the inbound passengers, distinctively from destinations comprising Australia and Asia, the airline has now introduced a direct flight to the widely visited areas in Scotland. Along with adding opportunities for tourism, the direct connectivity service also benefits Edinburgh to discover various opportunities in terms of trade, business and education all across the network.
Boeing 777 is positioned by the airline with facilities comprising 42 lie-flat seats in business class, eight private suites in the first class as well as 304 capacious seats in the economy class.
It has been stated that the students flying from India to Edinburgh are now eligible to carry a luggage of extra 10 kg along with 30 kg baggage allowance. The offer is available on sale till March 31st, 2019.
