Emirates signs partnership pact with Alaska Airlines

Middle East’s leading carrier Emirates recently entered into a partnership with Alaska Airlines. The new partnership will enable Emirates passengers to buy air tickets and easily connect to various cities worldwide via Seattle.

Emirates in a statement said that it has already started offering daily nonstop flights from Seattle to Dubai and on to over 115 destinations across the Middle East, Africa, India, Asia, Australia and New Zealand effective March 1, 2012.

The airline further stated that the new partnership will allow passengers to take Alaska Airlines flights from over 15 US cities, including Portland, Pasco, Spokane, Anchorage and Boise to Seattle, where they can connect to their Emirates flight.

The partnership also enables the passengers to check in for their flights at either carrier’s counter, get their boarding passes and check in their bags to their final destination.

According to the airline, the passengers can benefit from the excellent connections available from many of the cities that Alaska Airlines serves to Dubai via Emirates gateways in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
