Emirates to commence daily service to Barcelona with Airbus A380

Barcelona is a city that looks absolutely surreal. The astonishing architecture through the city adorns its glorified past and the modern today. The city was founded under the Roman Empire and has moved a long way since. Today it reflects the essence of novelty in a grand style. Being the second largest city of Spain gives it the edge to be called a global town. It is counted as one of the world’s foremost tourist, economic, fashion, cultural and commercial centers making it accessible to the important destinations. Most airlines connect this city with other destinations across the world.

It is for this reason that Emirates announced its decision to connect Barcelona with Dubai daily beginning February 1, 2014. The airline will use the services of its Airbus 380 aircrafts on this route. A380 is a double-decker super jumbo jet with a total seating capacity of 517. The flights on this route will boost the overall capacity of the airline by approximately 44%. The service of A380 will be permanent and will replace the existing Boeing 777-300ERs currently operating between the two cities.

Barcelona has been one of the most successful destinations for Emirates since its launch in the year 2012. The jet comprises 14 private first class suites, 76 lie-flat bed seats in business class and 427 seats in the economy class. Passengers flying on business class tickets to Barcelona will get to experience the luxurious hospitality of the airline. The onboard lounge, Wi-Fi connectivity and the world-class in-flight entertainment system is set to give the travelers a real feel of grandeur through their journey.
