Emirates to connect Amsterdam with Dubai twice daily

Gulf airline Emirates is expanding its network across Europe and other parts of the world rapidly. The demand on its routes is pushing the airline to arrive at expansion decisions. In one such move the carrier announced that it was launching a second daily flight between Dubai and Amsterdam beginning December 2013. High passenger traffic is said to be the reason behind this move.

The airline is expected to launch its second daily nonstop flight on December 4, 2013. It will use the services of Boeing 777-200LR on this route. This will help boost the airlines capacity by approximately 3,700 seats a week between the two cities. This flight comprises 266 seats in all of which 8 consist of first class, 42 of business class and 216 of economy class.

As per the schedule this flight is slated to depart Dubai at 1610 hours and arrive in Amsterdam at 2040 hours. The return flight will depart Amsterdam at 2210 hours and arrive in Dubai at 0740 hours the following day.

Hubert Frach, Divisional Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations West said that their decision to start a second flight to Amsterdam is the result of rising demand on the route. He added that the second flight will give their customers another chance to book business class airfares on the airline between the two cities and onwards to other destinations in Indian subcontinent, Africa, Far East and Australasia.
