Emirates to launch another Business Class Flight to JFK in 2015

Emirates Airlines is ramping up its business class offerings to the Big Apple’s JFK with a fourth daily service from Dubai International Airport (DXB) to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) starting on March 8, 2015.

This daily flight will operate using an Airbus A380 featuring 76 Business Class fully flat beds, 14 First Class Private Suites and 399 Economy Seats. The Gulf carrier operates two other daily non-stop flights on DXB-JFK route using the service of Airbus A380. The third service uses B777 routing via Milan.

Divisional Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations – West, Hubert Frach commented in a statement that the service will allow business class travelers to fly in the afternoon from DXB as well as JFK along with the other three services operating in mornings and evenings. New York is among the most popular and the busiest routes in the U.S. for the airline; addition of another daily service will give the elite travelers more connectivity options. Once the corporate passengers land in the United States, the alliance with JetBlue will offer seamless connectivity to 65 destinations from Kennedy Airport.

The upper deck on Airbus A380 will allow the premium passengers to relax in the On-Board lounge. All passengers can enjoy the award-winning in-flight entertainment system boasting up to 1,800 channels of films, music, TV shows and ICE games.

This service EK207 will leave from Dubai at 2.50 pm and land in JFK at 8.35 pm. The return leg, EK 208 will depart Kennedy Airport at 4.30 pm and arrive in Dubai at 1.15 pm the next afternoon.

Emirates took its maiden flight to the Big Apple in June 2004. More than 4.5 million customers have traveled since. The Business class passengers also have access to the Emirates Lounge at JFK. It also plans to deploy A380s to Milan next month along with its offer of free wireless Internet on t he entire A380 fleet.
