Emirates to upgrade business class flights on Dubai-Lyon route

Emirates, the Gulf airline synonym with luxury has good news for its passengers to Lyon. It announced its plans to replace operations to the city with Boeing 777-200LR. This aircraft will replace A340-500 currently serving the destination beginning February 1, 2014. The airline, which launched service on Dubai-Lyon route a little less than nine months ago, has surprised all with its sudden decision.

The upgraded aircraft will comprise 266 seats of which eight will be for first class, 42 for business class, and remaining 216 for economy class.

Emirates offers comfortable and luxurious onboard experience to its customers traveling on business class tickets. This upgrade will accentuate their in-flight experience with lie-flat seats and comprehensive entertainment choices.

Thierry Antinori, Emirates’ Executive Vice President, and Chief Commercial Officer, Commercial Operations Worldwide said that the upgrade to a Being 777 clearly indicates the success of the route ever since its launch last year. He added that this destination has a strong potential in terms of future growth.

The new aircraft is fitted with ice, the award winning in-flight entertainment facility of the airline featuring 1,500 entertainment channels. These channels also include latest films in the French language.

Passengers flying business class on the route will also be able to enjoy the benefits of baggage allowance of 40 kg. They can also utilize the services of chauffeur driven cars at both Dubai and Lyon.
