Emirates wins Best In-Flight Dining award for business class

Leading Middle-East carrier Emirates Airline was recently presented the Best In-Flight Dining First Class & Business Class award during the Culinary Travel Award presentation ceremony.

The airline won the award for the 2nd consecutive year. The award was presented by a U.S.-based culinary-travel magazine, which is recognized globally. According to the magazine, an expert panel of readers and travelers were asked to identify the best airlines in the world and acknowledge it for its services based on various categories. Apart from the airlines, the participants also adjudged the best hotels, bars, restaurants, markets and cities as well.

Emirates Airline was selected for serving seven-course meals, served on specially designed Royal Doulton fine bone china crockery to First Class and Business Class passengers, traveling to Japan. The airline was also selected as it ranks ‘the best’ when it comes to healthy food and for a wide selection of vintage wines it offers.

Five-star chefs are involved in creating regionally inspired dishes for the airline. Each in-flight menu is customized aptly reflecting the culinary tastes of specific destinations and routes. The airline’s premium customers are served a different menu on each flight ranging from Japanese gastronomy delights to authentic Indian regional cuisines.

The airline was also awarded for its Onboard Lounge offered to its First Class and Business Class customers booking Airbus A380 flights. The Onboard Lounge is an exquisite offering which provides a place for customers flying at over 40,000 feet to savor delicacies and hors d'oeuvres, network with co-passengers over cocktails and fine wines, and also stretch their legs and relax.
