Escape Lounge was recently inaugurated at Bradley International Airport in Connecticut. The airport also welcomed Aer Lingus, which is its first nonstop transatlantic operator to offer flights to Dublin. The newly opened lounge is situated at the entrance to gates 1 to 12 in the East Concourse, and would be providing access to business class travelers as well as others.
UK-based Manchester Airports Group has designed and operating the privately-owned Escape Lounge, which is also the second of its kind to be launched in the United States. The lounge has been designed on the similar lines of the one opened at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. A new Escape Lounge, the third of its kind in the U.S., is to be opened at Oakland International Airport in California.
With its seating capacity of 55 persons, the Escape Lounge is simply a great place for pre-flight relaxation or work. Prior to boarding your flights you can look forward to a quiet and comfortable experience. The lounge offers many amenities such as numerous power outlets, free high-speed internet, and a hot and cold buffet.
Media reports said that the opening of Escape Lounge at Bradley International Airport is aimed at offering upgraded option and all-inclusive experience to business class fliers for an entry fee. Among various facilities offered here include complimentary Wi-Fi, unlimited food, and unlimited beer and wine, with select premium brands to be made available after paying extra charge.
The new “common use” Escape Lounge will be open for visitors from 5 am. The early-morning fliers will be served breakfast, with options such as bagels, French toast, frittatas, breakfast biscuits and oatmeal. A big super-automatic espresso machine is also available for self-service coffee. Apart from this, French press pots are also installed here. The visitors can also look forward to lunch and dinner buffet items as well, which are available starting from 11.30 am. The menu selections available include smoked tomato soup with grilled cheese “croutons”, turkey Waldorf sliders, miniature servings of cheese and macaroni, and roasted carrot and quinoa salad. The desserts include lemon panna cotta with strawberry jam and sunflower seed granola, and Mexican chocolate pudding with cinnamon whipped cream.
