Etihad Airways announces daily flights to DFW before route launch

The national airline of United Arab Emirates, Etihad Airways is on an expansion drive. Etihad Airways announced last week that it will boost its frequency of business class flights to the yet to be launched Dallas/Fort Worth service in the spring 2015.

Abu Dhabi carrier will add DFW service to its global network from December 3, 2014 with thrice weekly service. The service will be further upgraded to daily flights starting from April 2015. Etihad has announced this upgrade to meet the ever growing demand from business travelers on ultra long-haul routes. This enhanced daily service will also benefit the leisure travelers flying to and from Dallas/Fort Worth. Etihad Airways currently flies from Abu Dhabi to four destinations in the United States including New York, Washington DC, Chicago and Los Angeles. The airways will launch its service to the fifth destination to the city of San Francisco on November 18, 2014 followed by Dallas/Fort Worth in December, 2014.

The aircraft operating on this route is a Boeing 777-200LR with a total of 225 seats in a three class design. It has 40 seats in Business Class, 8 seats in First Class and 177 seats in Economy Class.
 
CEO DFW, Sean Donohue expressed delight that Etihad Airways will fly daily between Abu Dhabi and DFW from the next April. He also added that DFW is the third most popular destination for business travel. More than 60 million customers travel through DFW every year. The daily flight operations will attract more and more business travelers to fly to the fastest growing region in the United States.

The daily services reinforce the travel connections between the GCC region, the United States and beyond. Additionally, Etihad Airways also plans to offer flights to numerous domestic routes from DFW with American Airlines code share.
