Etihad Airways inaugurate its new Premium Lounge at JFK airport

UAE’s national carrier Etihad Airways recently inaugurated its new Premium Lounge at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). The new lounge, which is the second in the U.S. in the airline’s collection of premium lounges worldwide, was opened on December 2, 2015 by Etihad Airways’ President and Chief Executive Officer James Hogan.

The new lounge is conveniently located nearby the gate area after the security checkpoint in International Terminal 4 of New York’s JFK airport. James Hogan while inaugurating the lounge said the guests would be offered a unique travel environment aptly reflecting 21st century Abu Dhabi modernism and simultaneously embodying the highest levels of comfort and luxury.

Etihad Airways’ JFK lounge has been designed with brand theme “Facets of Abu Dhabi” and adorned with geometric design concept using a color palette appropriately reflecting the varied hues of the UAE landscape, from the lighter colors seen in northern part of Emirates to the darker sands of Liwa.

The premium lounge is equipped with many amenities. A wide range of diverse seating styles with custom furnishings by Boss are available throughout the extensive seating areas. Among other amenities include luggage storage, a library, dedicated male and female ablution and prayer rooms, and luxurious restrooms with showers and changing rooms. A sculptural showcase bar and lounge are also available for guests replenished with an extensive and bespoke mocktail and cocktail offerings. A wide selection of a la carte and international buffet options is also available for the guests in the exclusive dining area.

The pre-flight access to the premium lounge is open to customers travelling in The Residence by Etihad, First Apartments or Business Studios. A private lounge is also exclusively available for premium customers booking flights for travelling in The Residence by Etihad.

Etihad Airways recently launched its Airbus A380 aircraft for operating flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Abu Dhabi International Airport effective from November 23, 2015. The Airbus A380 aircraft prominently features The Residence by Etihad, First Apartments, Business Studios and Economy Smart Seats.
