Etihad Airways new flights to US to have 28 business class seats

Etihad Airways recently announced that it will launch nonstop daily flights to Washington DC from Abu Dhabi starting March 31, 2013, subject to regulatory approvals.

Washington DC will be the airline’s fourth destination in North America. After New York, the Washington region is home to America’s second largest market flying to the Middle East.

Etihad Airways will deploy a three class A340-500 aircraft offering 28 Pearl Business Class seats. Besides, the aircraft will also provide 12 Diamond First Class seats as well as 200 Coral Economy seats. The airline will offer a total 3,360 seats per week on the new Washington DC-Abu Dhabi route.

James Hogan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, said that at present no other UAE carrier is operating nonstop flight services between Washington DA and the UAE. The launch on new flights will provide a huge opportunity for Etihad Airways to boost its business prospects.
