Etihad Airways opens first arrivals lounge at Abu Dhabi airport

The moment you land at the airport after a grueling long-haul international flight, a feeling of unending tiredness grips you and the need to get refreshed becomes an immediate concern. This is particularly important for business travelers who need to meet their clients straight out of the airport. The need for an arrivals lounge at the airport is therefore quite important.

Just imagine yet another scenario that you might have to face at the airport if you have arrived early and unable to gain access to your hotel room for a shower or too busy for check in. Then after all what do you do? Shouldn’t you need an arrivals lounge at the airport at this stage.

Etihad Airways has now decided to follow suit and decided to offer an arrivals lounge for its premium customers booking first class or business class tickets. UAE’s national carrier has now opened its first arrivals lounge at its main hub at Abu Dhabi International Airport.  Many international carriers such as American Airlines, Virgin Atlantic Airways and Cathay Pacific Airways are already offering arrivals lounge to their respective customers.

The arrivals lounge is equipped with many facilities such as 10 shower rooms stocked with soothing fluffy towels and other amenities, complimentary steaming service, and a wet shave salon. Among other facilities at the arrivals lounge include large screen TVs, a wide selection of local and international newspapers, complimentary internet access, business meetings options, and café style food and beverages service.

Apart from the new arrivals lounge at Abu Dhabi International Airport, Etihad Airways is currently operating 11 lounges at various other airports in the world.
