New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) has over the past decade made extensive efforts for improving customer experience through the integration of a higher level of luxury amenities. The airport recently witnessed yet another marvelous addition to its portfolio – Etihad Airways Premium Lounge – which is situated inside Terminal 4 of New York JFK.
Martin Drew, Etihad Airways’ Senior Vice President for the Americas, said, “Our sole objective and motto is providing unparalleled luxury. And, this is what Etihad Airways has been doing all the while. We have never sought to compete against other airlines by setting a benchmark. We look beyond than that. While providing the ultimate luxury in the sky, we try to emulate some of the world’s finest restaurants and hotels.”
Etihad Airways Premium Lounge is just an extension of the airline’s premium service beyond the aircraft launched at the end of 2015. With this service, Etihad Airways has been placed in a prime position and invariably attracting high-end first and business class leisure travelers. Apart from the recently opened lounge, Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways has also decided to ramp up its operations at New York JFK. The airline has acquired Airbus A380 superjumbo aircrafts for operating flights from Abu Dhabi to New York JFK.
Earlier, Etihad Airways also opened its Premium Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport in July last year. Apart from Los Angeles, the airline is already operating Premium Lounge at Washington and New York JFK. The airline had launched its Premium Lounge at New York JFK in December last year. The lounge is being considered as a masterpiece in the airline’s arsenal of luxury offerings for its highly profitable New York market.
According to travel experts, major international airlines are now pursuing an aggressive sales strategy by attracting high-end first class and business class clientele. The airlines believe that providing luxurious amenities at its various airport lounges is equally important as similar premium services being provided on board the flights.
