Etihad Airways presented Business Class of the Year award

UAE’s national carrier Etihad Airways has once again emerged as a proud winner for offering great experience to its customers on its business class flights. The airline was presented with the ‘Business Class of the Year’ award at the recently concluded Best Travel Media Awards in Beijing. Etihad Airways was given the award for the second consecutive year for its Pearl Business Class cabin.

The award is presented every year by ‘Best Travel’, a renowned travel trade publication in China. The China-based travel publication has instituted the award to acknowledge the airlines efficiently serving the Chinese market and providing best business class experience to the travelers. The airline’s business class cabin is adjudged on the basis of the seating, in-flight service, and food and beverage.

Etihad Airways in a statement said that with the Pearl Business Class award this year the airline has received fourth accolade at the Best Travel Media Awards. Etihad Airways had previously won the ‘Fastest Growing Airline of the Year’ award in 2009. The airline was also awarded in 2011 and 2012 when it was presented with the ‘Best Airline for Promoting New Routes’ and ‘Best Business Class of the Year’ respectively.

James Hogan, President and CEO of Etihad Airways, has expressed delight at the airline winning the ‘Best Business Class of the Year’ for the second consecutive year. He said that it’s a great recognition for the airline from the Chinese travelers. He also said that China remains an important market for Etihad Airways.
